HOT FUDGE SAUCE

Best served with pears and vanilla ice cream or just over ice cream. (use ripe fresh pears or poach hard pears in some sherry and spices first).

Ingredients
  

  • 75 g butter
  • 15 ml honey
  • 75 g soft brown sugar
  • salt pinch
  • 60 ml evaporated milk

Instructions
 

  • PREPARATION TIME 10 minutes COOKING TIME 8 minutes 1. Put the butter, syrup, brown sugar, salt and evaporated milk in a heavy-based pan over a low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring to the boil without further stirring. 2. Pour the hot fudge sauce over pear slices and serve immediately, with ice cream.
